CONGRATULATIONS JAY CARDY WA#2

IJAY CARDY came 2nd overall on the night of the 27th of December at the Motorplex WA, it was his first Late Model podium.
 
Next up was Manjimup, race for the State Title on the 3rd of Jan. Jay came a respectable 2nd in the two heat races and started pole off for the dash. He won the dash which gave him the outside pole for the feature, of which he then came 2nd.
 
Jay's team is now leading the Motorplex points series and coming second in the Pro Dirt Late Model Series.

IIt was an emphatic Brad Blake who stole yet another WA Dirt Late Model Championship win at Manjimup Speedway on Saturday night. After dominating in the heats his usual hard racing style which has made him famous, he came to the fore once again in the 30 lap non stop final.

His fierce rivals in Craig Vosbergen and Marc Giancola chased hard all through the night in each race, but, to no avail. Another driver no one saw coming was young charger Jay Cardy who ran a fantastic race in the B Dash to set up a front row stoush between him and Blake for the feature.

National champion Brad Ludlow was desperate to place his name on the trophy but found the night hard going. So many came and tried but, no one would stop “The O Show” from having his prize come the 30 lap A Main.

After several re-starts before a lap was completed they got away and ran a faultless race for the distance with Blake weaving his way through slow traffic to put a large enough buffer between him and Cardy to take the win.

Jay Cardy was impressive in second and elated with his finish result. Ryan Halliday came home in third, craig Vosbergen 4th, Bert Vosbergen 5th in front of one of the biggest crowds at the venue for many years.The club intends to run some other massive scale shows this season as the first two have been successful from all points as they continue to bring the track up to a national standard.

Manjimup Speedway is a sleeping giant in Australian speedway.
