Gold Coaster Daniel Youl takes another Win

Kyle Busch - Joe Gibbs Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver - Who is this man?

Gold Coaster Daniel Youl reflects on the racing that took place at Eastern Creek on August 7th- 9th. " I’m so happy that I now lead the 250gp mono points table by 11 points" said Daniel." There were 25 competitors that took the grid a mix of 125gp bikes and 250gp monos. Daniel said "I was pretty happy with the bike after the practice sessions as we were chasing suspension setup." Daniel soon became very frustrated after not being able to get a good run in the second qualifying session. He had to contend with starting 16th on the grid. Daniel got a pretty good start being the 8th bike over the line into the first corner. Unfortunately he nearest rivals got a good run while Daniel was held up by some 125gp bikes on turn 2. Daniel crossed the line to finish 12th overall and 3rd for his class. Race 2 took place Sunday morning. This became a 2-part race after the Motologic rider crashed out. On the restart this saw Daniel starting on the grid in 8th place; he new he had to make the most of the start to be the first 250gp mono over the line. Daniel fought hard in the 4 lap dash to finish 1st for his class and 9th overall. Daniel said "I’m ecstatic to finish in the top 10". There was a long wait for the 3 race that took place late Sunday afternoon. Daniel knew all he had to do was to keep his cool and finish the race to take the win for the weekend. And that he did, although he finished race 3 in third place for his class and 13th overall missing out on a 12th position finish by 300ths of a second. Daniel is showing great maturity in his racing and would like to thank Quantum Racing Industries for their support and reliable CP pistons to get the job done. And Lindsay Donai Motorcycles for his assistance in building a reliable bike to get Daniel to the top of the podium. Daniel will be next racing at Mallala South Australia on August 28th – 30th.
